World Bank Acknowledgement
Pavla Prikrylova, Gabriela Hajkova and Jiri Cerny were acknowledged by the World Bank for their long-term co-operation on the Doing Business project. The Doing Business study is published annually by the World Bank and the International Financial Corporation and reviews the factors which affect the business environment, such as costs incurred, and compliance with the statutory requirements for establishing and operating a company, trading and employment, registering assets, observing tax duties, terminating business activities, etc. and the related time. Based on these criteria 178 world economies are reviewed and compared. Since 2003 these rankings have represented an incentive or inspiration for more that 113 reforms in the world.
